How you can help!

Thanks for coming to this page!

There are two things you can do to help almost straight away -  firstly let us know if you are interested in becoming involved - email info@wiltshirewind.org.uk.

Secondly come to our next meeting in September - it is open to the public and everybody is welcome. Please see the news page for more details.

To be successful this group requires many talents across the community. We want to raise the profile of wind energy, grow support, encourage discussion regarding where turbines should be sited and ultimately promote the construction of one or more, appropriately sited and community supported, wind farms.

To do this requires lots of different skills and hard work! For example:

Are you good at meeting people on the street to do a questionnaire?

Can you type?

Do you enjoy public speaking

Do you know lots of people - perhaps you are a student at school or college?

Do you artistic skills?

Do you have maths or engineering skills?

Are you an environmental scientist?

Are you good with money, an accountant perhaps?

Good at website design?

Would you mind handing out leaflets in the street?

Do you have the patience to post leaflets through doors?

Are you a good communicator (a really useful skill)?

Do you have a few hours a month to spare?

Do you have access to a meeting room?

Do you like having fun?

Even if you feel that you do not have any time available, or feel that it would be difficult to contribute now we still want your support. Let us know your interest and we can make sure that we keep you informed.

At the moment it is people rather than money that is important, no doubt that will change in the future! But please get in touch with no commitment!
